Each member can register with two different formations, taking advantage of the complete hourly package for each formation at the special cost of € 1250.

A maximum of three hours per group will be made up in September 2024.

Closing date for registration: September 15, 2023

Audition: first half of October 2023

The Single Instrument section is divided into three separate categories:

Chamber Music under 16 (6 hours)

Chamber Music - Ordinary Level (16 hours)

Chamber Music - Advanced Level (24 hours)

Students will be placed in one of the three categories following the audition result.

Depending on the number of students, there is a possibility that mixed groups will be created between the above categories.

Characteristics of the three levels

Chamber Music Young (6 hours)

The Young chamber music course, a great novelty of the new academic year, is aimed at all young musicians aged 16 and under with the goal of learning to cultivate the need for listening, both to oneself and to others.

The course can be taken by those enrolled in the basic courses as an additional activity of their choice or by outside instrumentalists, not necessarily enrolled in Avos instrument courses.

Ordinary level (16 hours)

This category is reserved for instrumentalists who do not yet have adequate chamber music experience and who wish to undertake specific training.

Those enrolled will take their first lessons with assistant teachers who will take care of the setting of the pieces and then complete the course with the principal teachers.

At the discretion of the artistic direction and Avos teachers, the best groups or instrumentalists will be selected to perform in events organized by Avos or our partners in the year 2023-2024.

Advanced Level (24 hours)

This category is reserved for individual instrumentalists who have prior experience in chamber music and can provide assiduous attendance so as to ensure a teaching path for the group of which they are a part.

Those enrolled in this category will attend classes exclusively with the principal teachers of the chamber music course and will have greater opportunities to be included in the ensembles that will perform during scheduled events in 2023-2024.

Audition schedule (for all the categories)

1) Performance of a free-choice piece from the solo repertoire of one's instrument (maximum 10 minutes). Single movements of Sonatas or Concertos are also allowed. Each instrumentalist may provide an accompanying pianist, or request one from the school at the same time as the repertoire is announced. There is no additional charge.

2) Performance of a chamber piece chosen from a list of proposals that will be sent 15 days before the audition. The duration of the piece will not exceed 10 minutes.

Costs (Subscription fee: 100€)
All fees paid are refundable only if the School does not activate the course.
Subscription fee can only be refunded following a negative result of the audition.
Fees must be paid by October 31, 2023, once the results of the auditions are received.
